You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.

Comfrey is an easy to grow perennial plant that spreads easily once established.
From summer to autumn, blue flowers will appear.
The plant enjoys a part shade position in fertile, well-draining soil and should grow about 40cm high by 40cm wide.
‘Hidcote Blue’ is an ornamental variety and not grown for herbal reasons.
