Description
Prostanthera rotundifolia. Round Leaf Mint.
This shrub offers highly aromatic foliage and edible pink – purple flowers. The leaves and soft stems can be dried or used fresh (the flavour is more intense when used fresh).
Traditionally used for treating colds and headaches.
The plant prefers a full sun to part shade position in free-draining soil. It can grow up to 2m in height but it can easily be maintained to a smaller height.
Native Oregano is great for attracting beneficial insects and lizards into the garden.
