Trichocereus bridgesii is a species native to Bolivia.
The monstrose cultivar is characterised by its contorted and irregular growth pattern. Its multiple elongated stems curve and twist, and are often phallic in appearance.
These plants were traditionally regarded as a sacramental medicine.
The plant enjoys a part shade position in free draining potting medium / soil.
Usually growing to about 60cm in height, the plant requires minimal watering, and is ideal for containers.
Propagated by vegetative means.
