You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.

Native to Canada and North America, the roots of this perennial plant were traditionally used to treat respiratory ailments and rheumatism.
Bright orange flowers will appear in summer, providing an excellent food source for butterflies.
The plant enjoys a full sun position in fertile, well draining soil, and should grow about 1m high by 1m wide.
