Description
Tanacetum vulgare. 1.1L coir pot.
Tansy is an attractive spreading herbaceous perennial shrub with bright yellow button-shaped flowers that appear in late spring to mid autumn.
Tansy is not a culinary plant. It is often used as a companion plant and can attract beneficial insects to the garden. It also has insecticide properties and can deter a wide variety of unwanted pests. The leaves were once used as a mosquito repellant prior to modern sprays.
The plant enjoys a full sun position in well drained soil but it can tolerate a wide array of soil types. It should grow to around 1m high by 1m wide.
