You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.

Ocimum gratissimum. 3.7L coir pot.

Native to India and northern / eastern parts of Africa, this perennial plant has a long history of ceremonial and spiritual use.

The flowers, leaves, seeds and stems are used to make tea.

The foliage generally smells of cloves, cinnamon, lemon and mint. Popular for oil extraction.

The plant enjoys a full sun position in well draining soil, and should grow around 2m high by 1.5m wide.

Fast growing and seeds regularly.

Great for pots.
