You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.

This perennial herb has pineapple scented leaves and tall spikes of deep red flowers.
The leaves are best used fresh in beverages, green salads and fruit salads.
The flowers are also edible.
Pineapple Sage enjoys a full sun to part shade position in well draining soil.
It’ll grow about 1m high by 70cm wide and it’s great for pots.
