Description
Moringa drouhardii. 3.7L coir pot.
Native to south-western Madagascar, this fast growing, deciduous tree is a real delight.
The swollen trunk stores large amounts of water, similar to baobab trees.
The seeds are rich in edible oil and flocculating proteins, and the leaves can be eaten as a green vegetable.
White flowers.
Long seed pods.
The plant enjoys a full sun position in well draining soil, and should grow around 5m – 10m high in the garden.
Ideal for arid locations.
