Description
Moringa drouhardii. 3.7L coir pot.
Native to south-western Madagascar, this fast growing, deciduous tree is a real delight.
The swollen, light-coloured trunk stores large amounts of water, similar to baobab trees.
The seeds are rich in edible oil and flocculating proteins, and the oval-shaped leaves can be eaten as a green vegetable.
White flowers.
Long seed pods.
The plant enjoys a full sun position in well draining soil, and should grow around 5m – 10m high in the garden.
Ideal for arid locations.
