Native to Europe, this perennial was used by the ancient Celts to treat battle wounds.
Traditionally used to treat congestion, coughs, skin and digestive problems (among many other things), the plant has astringent, expectorant, diuretic and anti-inflammatory properties.
The leaves and flowers can be used in a bitter tea, and are often added to tea blends.
This ground cover enjoys a full sun to part shade position in free draining soil, and should grow around 50cm high by 1m wide.
